A flexible, high-fidelity format used in printing, scanning and archiving. It is usually lossless and widely supported by professional software, but browsers other than Safari can’t display it.

The standard format for photos. It shrinks files by discarding detail the eye is unlikely to notice, which makes it compact but slightly lossy every time it is saved.

TIFF to JPG Questions
Are my TIFF files uploaded to a server?
No. The conversion runs in your browser using WebAssembly, so your TIFF files never leave your device. Nothing is stored, and the page keeps working even on a slow connection.
Will converting TIFF to JPG reduce quality?
JPG is a lossy format, so a little detail is traded for a smaller file. At the default quality of 85 the difference is very hard to see. Move the quality slider up if you need the result to be closer to the original.
Are multi-page TIFFs supported?
The first page is converted. CMYK TIFFs from print workflows are converted to RGB so they display correctly on screens.
Will the JPG file be bigger or smaller?
It depends on the image. The converter shows the original and new size for every file, so you can compare before downloading.
