03FAQ

JPG to TIFF Questions

Are my JPG files uploaded to a server?

No. The conversion runs in your browser using WebAssembly, so your JPG files never leave your device. Nothing is stored, and the page keeps working even on a slow connection.

Will converting JPG to TIFF reduce quality?

No further quality is lost: TIFF stores every pixel exactly. Any detail already discarded by JPG compression can’t be restored, though, so the result looks the same as the original rather than better.

Will the TIFF file be bigger or smaller?

Usually larger. TIFF keeps every pixel, while JPG discards detail to save space. For a smaller file, consider WebP or JPG instead.

Is the JPG to TIFF converter free?

Yes. There is no sign-up, no watermark and no daily limit. Convert up to 50 files per batch, as many times as you like.
