Are my JPG files uploaded to a server?
No. The conversion runs in your browser using WebAssembly, so your JPG files never leave your device. Nothing is stored, and the page keeps working even on a slow connection.
Will converting JPG to WebP reduce quality?
WebP is a lossy format, so a little detail is traded for a smaller file. At the default quality of 85 the difference is very hard to see. Move the quality slider up if you need the result to be closer to the original.
Will the WebP file be bigger or smaller?
